Robin treat boxes

These wee treat boxes are the 'robin' version of the 'penguins' I made last week - I just used chocolate chip and cherry cobbler card this time and the owl builder punch for the feet.  I used the 1 and 3/8" circle punch instead of the oval for the tummy.  The basic treat box is made using the curvy keepsake box die and can be adapted for all sorts of things.

Mini crackers

I have made lots of these wee crackers for upcoming craft fairs using last years designer christmas paper stacks (for this year's click HERE).  They measure 4.5 inches by 6.5" and are the perfect size.  You score the paper longwise at each inch using the simply scored board (1", 2, 3 and 4) - the extra half inch is for sticking it together at the end.
Then score 1.5" from each end and punch each of the folds 1.5" from each end using the envelope
punch board.

I then decorated each end using the scalloped border punch (sadly discontinued) and use double sided tape or glue to join the edges together.Tie each end quite tightly using narrow ribbon such as  silver 1/8" or real red 1/8"  and decorate with a poinsettia made using the petite petals punch
or a snowflake made using the smaller of the two dies in the thinlets snowflake set.  I put chocolate mint creams inside for selling at craft fairs, but they could also hold a small piece of jewellery or money.

Penguin Parade

I have been making these wee penguins using the curvy keepsake box thinlits die for some Christmas craft fairs.  The beak and feet were punched out of crushed curry card using the mini heart punch and the modern label punch.  The tummy was punched out of whisper white using the extra large oval punch then trimmed down to about 4cm.  The eyes were punched with the 1/2" and 3/8" circle punches and the wings using the large oval punch. Finally, I used the  white Stampin' chalk marker pen to highlight the eyes.

WOYWW 281

What's on my work desk this week - well its a penguin production line!  My friend and I are taking a table at a couple of Christmas craft fairs to raise some money for school and so I have been getting a start made on some wee penguin treat boxes - not sure what I'll put inside yet - they hold quite a lot but I don't want them to cost too much - if anyone has a good idea let me know! To find out what the world's work desks hold this week, visit Julia HERE where all will be revealed. (Sorry about the poor quality of the photo - my children have 'borrowed' the leads for the camera again and I had to use the phone instead.)
