WOYWW 328

A messy desk today - just putting together a new set of stamps and making out some Biology notes, covered with one of my favourite colours - 'Coastal Cabana.' To join the other work desks visit Julia HERE.

Watermelon wonder trim

Another use for the lovely new lace trim - it was the perfect match for the outfit I wore to a wedding recently, so I used it to decorate my 'buttonhole' - it's nearly too nice to use - one of those things you like to look at but don't want to use up!

More Butterflies!

Here are the items we made at the June cardmaking class - again using the Butterfly Basics stamps and dies and paper from the new Bohemian DSP pack. .  The wee bag was made following the tutorial found here http://www.craftyhallett.co.uk/bag-in-a-box-handbag/  We matched it up with Rich Razzleberry card and the brads from the Antique Brads set.  The mini cards are cut from Rich Razzleberry and Very Vanilla card - I couldn't believe it when I went to take a photo, one of my cards was missing (someone had taken it home by mistake) and I had absolutely no Very Vanilla card left - so I had to wait until my next order was delivered and make another one to complete the set!
The tent card was made using the idea from Ruth's video tutorial on A Passion for crafts Facebook page. The other card was a straightforward one to get everybody started off - and to use some of the lovely new lace trim. Again, all the paper came from the Bohemian DSP pack.

Butterfly basics

I've been trying out the 'Butterfly Basics' stamps and die set - I used 'Blushing Bride' for the pink, 'Elegant Eggplant' for the purple and my favourite of the new colours 'Mint Macaron.'

WOYWW 314

Well I have actually had a bit of a tidy up and can now show you the top of the desk and the clear space at the left hand side! The 'stuff' at the right-hand side is essential and needs to be easily accessible (well, most of it anyhow!).  The reason I have been able to clear some space is that I had a birthday and for my present I got the storage carousel for my ink pads - this means I can store my punches all in my work desk and even have some space left for a few more! You will notice I have lots of spaces for more ink pads in my new carousel as well :-) I have been trying out the new 'Mint Macaron' card and lacy ribbon - another favourite colour I think - it matches my colour scheme (and my Cuttlebug) perfectly!
The little 'Rich Razzleberry' bag with the butterfly on the left of my second desk was made following a tutorial HERE for my class last Friday.  We also made 4 cards to put inside it, but mine only contains 3 now as one of the ladies took one of my sample ones home by mistake :-( and I have run out of cream card to make another one.  To visit everyone else this week, visit Julia HERE.

Using the brayer

Recently I watched a video tutorial by Lilian Withers and realised where I was going wrong with my brayering technique! So I decided to have another go and made these cards.  I think I need a bit more practice - but they are much better than any previous attempts!

Bundled Baby

These baby cards were made using the stamp set 'Bundled baby' which will be retiring on the 2nd of June.  It is reduced to £10.46 for the wood mounted set and £8.21 for the clear set.  I am planning to put through my last order from the current catalogue tomorrow evening, so if there are any of the retiring products you would like then get in touch and you can get reduced postage if we order them together.  This will be the last chance to order some of the basic products at the current price as there are some price increases for ink pads and some of the larger punches and die sets - though other products such as embossing folders will be reduced in price.

Sneak peak cards

I used one of the new stamp sets (available from 2nd June) to make these four cards.  The set is called 'Sprinkles of Life' and is this years charity stamp set - £2 from each set sold will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities (https://www.facebook.com/RMHCUK) which provides accommodation for the families of sick children when they are being treated in hospital away from home.  There is also a new punch which co-ordinates with the stamps but which could also be used equally well without them.

New products

My pre-ordered products from the new catalogue arrived today - I love the colours of these papers - especially the teal coloured ones (Island Indigo and Bermuda Bay).  I hope to get to experimenting with them soon and we will hopefully get to use them at the next class on 5th June :-)  The new catalogues have also arrived and are available to collect for £3.50 or I can post one to you for £5.50.  Orders can be placed from the new catalogue from 2nd June.

The new annual catalogue is on its way!!

I am expecting the copies of the new annual catalogue to arrive on Monday :-) If you would like a copy they will cost £3.50 or I can post them to you for a total cost of £5.50.  You can continue to order from the current catalogue up until the 2nd of June and then the new products can be ordered after that.  I plan to hold a class on Friday the 5th of June, using some of the new products.

Retiring products

Many of the retiring stamp sets and accessories have already sold out - but there are still some great bargains available while stocks last.  You'll need to be quick though - find the stamps HERE and the accessories HERE.

Wedding Stationery

I have been making some wedding stationery recently using the Delicate designs embossing folder 127023 and the co-ordinating Large Scallop die 127019 (both of which are being retired and are available at a reduced price :-) I also used one of the Labels Collection dies (now sold out) to cut out the shaped sparkler labels.  I hope Alison doesn't mind me stealing a couple of photos from her reception - but as they were on Facebook I think it should be OK!
